Professional Charges and professional or Physician claims on and the EDI Information that's the electronic Information from like a Clearinghouse EDI is what the electronic numbers and All that you set up your computer system To electronically correspond to these Different insurance companies you'll Review medical records when necessary to Determine if the service was rendered And medically appropriate and the Patient has met the criteria to be Qualified you'll review the claim and Line item edits and warning messages to Determine whether to pay the claim in Line items you're ensure all designated Tasks are handled within the appropriate Time frame to meet your internal slas And you'll assign special projects or Other duties by management as needed so You are just literally processing claims You're making sure all the information Is there everything is correct the in The system as it is on the paper form You review medical records just making Sure that everything lines up and you Then pay or deny the claim now they are Not requiring any kind of college degree For this position just somebody who is a High school diploma or GED they do want Somebody who has one year of claims Processing experience someone who is Knowledgeable of all the medical Terminologies CPT codes hexa codes ICD I
